LEXINGTON, Ky. -- In an announcement made Thursday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), seven SCAC programs earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2025-2026 season.
Austin College, Colorado College, Hendrix College, LeTourneau University, McMurry University, Schreiner University and University of St. Thomas were seven of the 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams, including 234 Division III women's programs to be honored for recording a minimum combined 3.30 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.
The seven SCAC programs recognized are tied for the most in league history, matching the mark set in 2024.
Austin College secured the award for the fourth-straight year, while Colorado College has earned the honor for the 13th consecutive year. In total this year represents the 22nd time CC has achieved AVCA Team Academic honors since its inception in 1992-93.
Hendrix landed on the list for a remarkable 15th-straight year, while LeTourneau made its fourth-straight appearance on the list.
McMurry secured honors for the fourth-straight year and fifth time in the last six years and Schreiner earned the honor for third consecutive year.
St. Thomas has now earned academic honors for the sixth time in program history. The Celts have now been recognized five times in the last seven seasons.
