HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- The No. 16-ranked LeTourneau men's golf team posted yet another 4-over, 292 in round three of the NCAA Division III Championships at the par-72 El Campeon course at Mission Inn Resort.
Matching its 4-over score from round one, LeTourneau is tied for 13th in the standings after round three, with the final round awaiting on Friday. The YellowJackets are 22-over, 882 through Thursday.
Illinois Wesleyan held on to the team lead with an even-par, 288 score today, leading the field with a 5-under score through three rounds.
Kenyon's Adrian Jordan and Lynchburg's Alan Van Asch are tied for the individual lead at 7-under.
Owen Prewitt bounced back to lead the way with a 2-under, 70 on Thursday. Prewitt cupped four birdies and went 1-under on both the front and back nines.
Both Trey Cates and Kaiden Schneider fired 1-over, 73's in round three, and are both 4-over for the tournament and tied for 36th.
Cates knocked in birdies on holes 17 and one -- both par-5's -- in which he has been lights out on the tournament for shooting 6-under on such holes, tied for third in the field.
Schneider opened his round with a birdie on hole 10 and held steady from there, knocking in two more en route to a 3-under start through 10 holes.
Rafa Torres carded a 4-over, 76 in round three, sitting 9-over for the tournament and tied for 62nd.
Brody Holmlund rounds out the YellowJackets golfers, posting a 10-over, 82 on Thursday's round three.
