NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) had an impressive 56 student-athletes achieve All-West Region Outdoor Track & Field performances it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The 56 SCAC athletes recognized were spread out among seven conference institutions. McMurry University led the way with 18 honorees, followed by Colorado College with 11 and Texas Lutheran University with 10 to round out the top three SCAC institutions. University of St. Thomas placed eight student-athletes on the honor roll, while Hendrix College saw five nods and Concordia University (Texas) and LeTourneau University each had two honorees respectively.
The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region’s top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, Northeast, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
