ATLANTA, Ga. – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2025-26 NCAA Division III Coaches' All-American Team on Thursday and a trio of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes earn recognition.
McMurry's Helana Chadwick, Hendrix's Riley Brady and Texas Lutheran's Lauren Sansano earned Honorable Mention All-America honors.
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the WBCA in NCAA Division III, these student-athletes represent the most outstanding basketball players across America in their division.
This year marks the ninth time in SCAC history the league has seen multiple student athletes earn WBCA All-American honors in the same year, and the second-straight year to post three honorees. The previous seven occasions the SCAC has seen multiple student athletes earn WBCA All-American honors are, 1999-00, 2002-03, 2004-05, 2006-07, 2008-09, 2017-18 and 2019-20. Historically, the three SCAC selections mark the 98th, 99th and 100th individual All-American accolades in SCAC women’s basketball history.
This marks the first All-American honors for each of the three individuals after the trio earned D3hoops.com All-Region honors earlier in the week.
Chadwick, a senior guard from La Vernia, Texas, earned First Team All-SCAC honors and paced the SCAC averaging 22.4 points per game, the eighth best single season scoring average in conference history. Her 560 points are tied for the eighth most total points in a single season, becoming just the ninth player in SCAC history to reach the 560-point plateau in a single season.
Brady, a junior forward from Little Rock, Arkansas, was named the 2025-26 SCAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year. She rewrote the SCAC record book in the rebounding category, breaking the single-season rebound record with 456 boards. She finished second in all of NCAA Division III with 18.2 rebounds per game and was the statistical champion for offensive rebounds, averaging 7.5 per contest and totaling 188 on the year. Brady scored a career-high 38 points against Centenary that also tied a single-game program record and surpassed the 1000-point career milestone against the University of Dallas in the regular season finale.
Sansano, a senior guard from San Antonio, Texas, earned First Team All-SCAC honors for the second time in her career after leading TLU in scoring (14.6 PPG), assists (4.5), and steals (2.3) while adding 5.2 rebounds per game. She becomes the ninth player from the TLU women's basketball program to be named to an All-America team. Sansano's honor marks the second-straight year and second time in program history TLU has had a player named a WBCA All-American. Nationally, Sansano finished 7th in free throw percentage (88.8) and 28th in assists (121). Her 393 points were the third most by a SCAC player this season.
