Hendrix's White, McMurry's Hall Selected as Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Nominees

NORTHBROOK, Ill. -- Hendrix’s Auvic White (pictured right) and McMurry’s Tristen Hall (pictured left) have been named two of a record-setting 197 nominees for the prestigious 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, announced Tuesday by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association. The honor recognizes student-athletes across all divisions of college football who go above and beyond in their dedication to community service and leadership. Complete Release

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team was established in 1992 by the College Football Association, recognizing the extra efforts made by college football players and student support staff off the field. AFCA became the governing body of the award in 1997 and continues to honor college football players who go the extra mile for those in need. Allstate worked to present the award starting with the 2008 season.

For the second year, Allstate is partnering with the Wuerffel Foundation to align two of college football's most meaningful honors: the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy. Together, they recognize student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in community service, academics and athletics.

"When nearly 200 young athletes choose to serve, it creates a ripple effect far beyond the game," said Danny Wuerffel, former NFL quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner and College Football Hall of Famer for whom the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy is named. "Their leadership in the community is just as worthy of recognition as their performance on the field."

Auvic, a rising senior, is currently serving full time in Athletes in Action Campus Ministry. He has raised over $12,000 dollars this year alone to support his role as a disciple for our sports teams on campus. This includes servicing over 600 student athletes yearly for our campus alone. Which will be well over 1200 total student athletes by the time Vic graduates next spring. He puts in full time job hours for that role which is 40 plus hours most weeks. In addition to that, he travels as an evangelical speaker for churches and groups sharing a very powerful testimony. He has participated in reading day, other ministry outreaches, he has served meals, organized activities, helped with special Olympics, and most recently helped with our Tadpole trot for kids during Conway's Toadsuck Daze.

Hall, a rising junior, set career highs last year in games played (10), receptions (13), yards (160), yards per game (16.0) and yards per catch (12.3) in helping the War Hawks secure a co-SCAC regular season football title in 2024.

From the 197 nominees, the final roster of 23 award recipients will bring together 11 players from the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision; 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III, and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA); and one honorary head coach. To be considered for a spot on the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, each player must be actively involved with a charitable organization or service group while maintaining strong academic standing.
