KERRVILLE, Texas -- Top-seeded Colorado College advanced to the program's second straight finals appearance at the Southern College Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship with a 4-0 semifinal round victory over the fourth-seeded Schreiner University on Saturday morning at the Cree Tennis Center. The Tigers went up 1-0 in doubles play after Kala Komanduri and Ally Lowe earned a 6-0 win at third doubles before Avery Hickman and Lindsay Popeo tallied a 6-1 win at second doubles to claim the match's first point.
Popeo took home a win at sixth singles with a 6-0, 6-0, decision. Lucia Moravek was victorious at fourth singles after tallying a 6-0, 6-0 win. The clinching match came at No. 1 singles as Aspen Young earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
The Tigers improve to 19-3 on the season. Meanwhile, the Mountaineers fall to 9-11 on the season.
