SUWANEE, Ga. -- The SCAC office tonight announced the bracket for the 2025 Volleyball Tournament, which will begin Friday, November 14 and will be hosted by Schreiner University. Official Tournament Website | Bracket
University of St. Thomas (23-5; 13-3 SCAC) and Schreiner University (22-6; 13-3 SCAC) finished tied and both will be recognized as co-champions of the Gold Division. To determine the top seed among the two, and since the two split their regular season head-to-head matchups, working down the standings was used to break the tie. Both went 1-0 against Hendrix College but UST went 1-0 against Austin College while Schreiner went 0-1 - so St. Thomas earned the top seed from the Gold Division and the overall top seed for the event.
Hendrix (19-6; 13-3) finished atop the Blue Division and will be the No. 2 overall seed.
The top overall seed between St. Thomas and Hendrix was determined by the one regular season head-to-head result between the two, which the Celts won 3-1 back on October 4.
As the two divisional winners, both St. Thomas and Hendrix earn byes into the semifinal round, which will be played later Friday afternoon/evening.
The host school Schreiner will be the third seed, followed by Austin College (19-11; 12-4 SCAC) as the fourth seed and Colorado College (20-7; 12-4 SCAC) as the fifth seed. Both finished with a 12-4 league mark but Austin defeated CC, 3-1, on October 4 in Colorado Springs to determine who will wear the home uniform in their first-round tournament matchup.
SCAC tournament debutant LeTourneau University (19-11; 9-7 SCAC) checks in as the sixth seed.
Final regular season standings were used to seed for the conference tournament. The top team from each division earned the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, while the remaining seeds were determined by conference record, regardless of division.
Quarterfinal round play begins on Friday with Austin College and Colorado College scheduled for 10:30 am CT with Schreiner and LeTourneau following at 1 pm CT. The semifinals follow later in the afternoon as St. Thomas takes on the winner of Austin College and Colorado College at 3:30 pm CT and Hendrix tangles with the Schreiner/LeTourneau winner at 6 pm CT.
Saturday's championship match begins at 3 pm CT.
The winner of the SCAC Volleyball Tournament earns an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III National Championship, which begins the following weekend.
