Colorado College's Simonson Collects Second Consecutive Women's Swimming & Diving Elite 19 Award

GARLAND, Texas -- In an announcement made at Saturday's conference championship, Colorado College's Megan Simonson was named the 2026 SCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Elite 19 award winner - the second consecutive year she has earned the honor.

Simonson, a senior from Naperville, Ill., currently holds a 4.00 GPA in Business, Economics and Society. At this weekend's SCAC Championship, she earned all-SCAC honors after a second place finish in the 50 free, a third-place finish in the 100 fly and was also a member of the victorious 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.

Simonson is Colorado College’s second swimmer to earn the SCAC Elite 19 award, joining Chaney Skilling who earned the inaugural honor in 2019. She is also the second consecutive women's swimmer to win the honor in back-to-back years, joining Sammi Thiele of Austin College who received the award in 2023 and 2024.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each conference sponsored-sport as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First, Second or Third Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
