KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 14th annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, and four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball programs were recognized. Full Release
These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2025-26 season.
The SCAC was represented by Colorado College, LeTourneau University, University of the Ozarks (Ark.) and Texas Lutheran University. Colorado College was honored for the fourth-straight year and 11th time in program history while LeTourneau University earned the award for the sixth time since 2015-16. This was the second year in a row for the University of the Ozarks (Ark.) to take the honor and for Texas Lutheran University, this marked the first team honor since the 2015-16 season.
This year marks the fifth-straight season and 11th in the last 12 the SCAC has seen three or more teams earn NABC Team Academic Excellence honors.
Additionally, 27 SCAC individuals, including 5 from Colorado College and University of the Ozarks (Ark.) and four each from LeTourneau University and Texas Lutheran University earned NABC Honors Court accolades.
In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA must count the grade point averages of all men’s basketball student-athletes who competed during the 2025-26 season.
