JAIDAN SERVATI OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a right side hitter on the women's volleyball team from Van Alstyne, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning November 3.
The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.
“I pride myself on being selfless and a team player,” Jaidan said of being named this week’s recipient, “And I feel it is important to own the role you are given on and off the court, where your feet are to support and cheer others.”
Jaidan has been a member of the volleyball team at McMurry the past three years serving as an important role player off the bench.
“Jaidan is the rock of our team,” says head coach Caroline Cleveland, adding, “She is our ‘yellow’ person She is full of love, joy, and happiness our team feeds off of. Her heart is always where it needs to be to serve others, and she is very deserving of this award.”
