SUWANEE, Ga. -- The D3Football.com Team of the Week for week four of the 2025 season was announced on Tuesday and a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) athletes were recognized for their performances on Saturday September 27th.
Senior defensive lineman Keidrick Wooten of Lyon and junior defensive tackle Jackson Harris of McMurry were both recognized at the national level this week.
Wooten had eight tackles, including racking up four and a half tackles for loss in Lyon's 38-24 win vs. Westminster (Mo.). The Lyon defense allowed just 25 yards of offense on 29 run attempts and tallied 14 tackles for loss on the day. Wooten is Lyon's first-ever player named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
Harris played hero Saturday with the game-winning touchdown for the War Hawks with a scoop-and-score for a 78-yard touchdown. Harris caused, recovered and returned the fumble after Howard Payne was in the redzone in a tied game. His score came with nine seconds remaining to seal the win and he also totaled four tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack.
Earlier this week, Harris was also named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 27th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Wooten and Harris are the second and third SCAC athletes to earn D3Football.com National Team of the Week honors. Last week, Hendrix wide receiver Westin Bruce was selected to the prestigious team.
