SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- For the second consecutive year, the Colorado College women's cross country team produced two All-Americans as senior Alison Mueller-Hickler and junior Charlie Flint finished in the Top 40 at the NCAA Division III Championship Meet in Spartanburg, S.C.
Mueller-Hickler placed 26th overall with a 6K time of 21:40.7, while Flint finished 30th in 21:47.1, giving the Tigers two All-Americans for the fifth time in program history.
The 18th-ranked Tigers, participating as a team for the fifth consecutive year, finished in 23rd place with 561 points. NYU won the team title with 79 points, followed by Williams with 106 and Claremont with 133.
Freshman Sadie Honig finished in 217th place (23:40.4) for the Tigers, followed by senior Liz White in 236th (23:56.7) and senior Abby Goodfried in 250th (24:12.0). Fellow senior Brooktie Frogge (258th) and freshman Ellie Ottem (265th) rounded out the field for CC.
"Alison and Charlie had amazing races to lead the squad," head coach Alex Nichols said. "It might not have been our ideal day, but I'm proud of everything that has gone into this season to get us to this point. Finishing in the top 25 at a national championship is a great way to end the season."
