KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) released the 2025 Scholar All-America Teams Thursday, and two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes earned recognition. Complete Release
Colorado College’s Rex Karjian earned First Team honors, while CC junior Alex Wolter secured Second Team recognition. This year marks the second-straight year and fourth time in the last five years the SCAC has been represented by multiple student-athletes on the USC Scholar All-American Team.
Karjian, a senior defender with a 3.85 GPA in Political Science, elevated to the First Team after earning Second Team USC Scholar All-American honors last year as a junior. The SCAC Defender-of-the-Year and First Team All-SCAC selection, Karjian also earned USC All-American Second Team honors earlier this month, as well as being named Third Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Karjian was also honored as the SCAC Elite 19 award winner this year’s conference tournament championship.
On the pitch, Karjian started 18 matches and logged 1,486 minutes, captaining a Colorado College squad that captured its second consecutive SCAC regular-season title and produced a program-record 18-game unbeaten streak. From the back line, he led the conference with 11 assists, while adding three goals to finish with 17 points, ranking among the SCAC leaders and setting career highs across the board.
Wolter, a junior goalkeeper with a 3.62 GPA in Business, Economics, and Society, is making his first appearance on the prestigious Scholar All-American Team. A First Team All-SCAC performer this year, Wolter was also named First Team All-Region X by the USC.
In net, Wolter finished third in all of NCAA Div. III with a 0.44 goals-against average, sixth with a .867 save percentage and tied for sixth with 11 shutouts on the year.
In addition to both athletes earning USC Scholar All-American honors, Karjian was named to the USC Scholar All-West Region First Team, while Wolter earned Second Team Scholar All-West Region honors.
