Men's Basketball - Week 5
SCAC Men’s Basketball play continued last week as Schreiner (4-3, 2-0) stayed unbeaten in league action after completing the season sweep of McMurry (5-4, 0-2) and LeTourneau (4-2, 1-0) and Dallas (3-5, 1-0) opened SCAC competition with wins over Centenary (0-6, 0-1) and Austin College (1-4, 0-1) respectively. Just one SCAC contest on the schedule this week and St. Thomas (6-1) travels to Colorado College (2-5) for the conference opener for both teams on Saturday. STANDINGS - SCHEDULE - STATISTICS
Offensive Player of the Week - Joey Ramirez, Concordia University (TX)
Joey Ramirez of Concordia University (TX), a senior guard from Weimar, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, December 1 through Sunday, December 7. This marks his second-straight weekly award. Full Release
Defensive Player of the Week - Nathan Kongolo, Universtiy of St. Thomas
Nathan Kongolo of University of the Ozarks, a sophomore guard from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, December 1 through Sunday, December 7. Full Release
Women's Basketball - Week 5
In SCAC Women’s Basketball action, McMurry (5-0, 2-0) jumped out to just its third 5-0 start since the 2006-07 season after completing the season sweep of Schreiner (1-7, 0-2) last week. Additionally, Austin College (4-4, 1-0) and Centenary (2-5, 1-0) secured opening league wins over Dallas (1-8, 0-1) and LeTourneau (1-6, 0-1) respectively. Swimming & Diving - Week 8
SCAC Swimming & Diving returned to the pool following a week off for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Highlights included Colorado College earning a dual meet win over Div. II CSU-Pueblo and Ozarks knocking off Hendrix in a dual meet on the women’s side, while the Warriors emerged victorious on the men’s side.
