KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2025-26 NABC Coaches' Division III All-American teams Wednesday, with Concordia University’s (Tex.) Joey Ramirez earning Second Team honors.
Ramirez becomes the Tornados' first All-American since 2002. Earlier this week, Ramirez was named an All-District selection by the NABC and earned All-Region honors from D3hoops.com.
Ramirez, a senior guard from Weimar, Texas was named the SCAC Player of the Year and earned three conference Player of the Week honors this season, including USBWA Div. III National Player of the Week in December. A First Team All-SCAC performer, Ramirez played in started in all 28 games for Concordia this year, leading the Tornados to the program’s first ever SCAC Tournament Title earlier this month. Ramirez led the SCAC in both points per game (22.4) and total points (626). Historically, his 22.4 points per game ranks sixth most in a single season in SCAC history, while his 626 total points are the second most points scored in a single season. He is just the fourth athlete in SCAC history to reach 600 points in a single season.
