Battling wet conditions throughout the morning and early afternoon, and after multiple delays at Cree Tennis Court on the campus of Schreiner University, the championship was relocated to Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club to escape persistent mist.
After a weather-interrupted start to doubles play that resulted in a relocation, Colorado College took a 1-0 lead after doubles play as the Tigers got wins at the No. 3 and No. 2 doubles line. Nick Anderson and Sam Lessard (6-4) posted the first Tiger doubles win before Sam Dilworth and Lenny Lehmitz (7-5) secured a 1-0 lead for Colorado College going into singles.
Singles action saw Lehmitz earn a 6-1, 6-0 win at the two line, followed by Hugo Vohmann’s 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 4. Sam Lessard would clinch the Tigers Title after winning in straight-sets, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
Colorado College improves to 14-6 on the season, pushing its win streak to 10, while Concordia falls to 9-6. The Tigers improve to 1-1 all-time in SCAC Championship matches, finishing runner-up in 2013.
