Brady had a historic weekend in Hendrix's sweep of Centenary and LeTourneau. On Friday, the junior tied the single-game program record with a new career-high 38 points against the Ladies, going 73.3 percent from the field on 11-of-15 shooting. Her 38 points is also the highest single-game total of any SCAC player this season. On Sunday, Brady was two points shy of a 30-30 game, scoring 28 points to go along with 30 boards, 14 of those being on the offensive end. In total, Brady averaged an outstanding 33.0 points on 66.7 percent shooting and grabbed 23.5 rebounds to go along with 4.0 steals and 1.0 steals per game in a pair of wins for the Warriors.
Senior forward Trinity Williams of Austin College had a big weekend, helping the 'Roos clinch a spot in the SCAC Tournament with a 23-point effort in a win at Concordia. Williams averaged 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game, shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from long range. Junior guard Robbi Martinez of LeTourneau averaged 15.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game for for the YellowJackets last week. She had a career-high 22 points and added three steals in a loss to Ozarks. In an overtime loss to Hendrix, Martinez had 19 points with six rebounds, five steals, and two assists. Senior guard Helana Chadwick of McMurry averaged 26.5 points on 41.5 percent shooing last week in lifting the War Hawks to a pair of home win last week, including snapping the Colorado College Tigers’ 10-game winning streak. Chadwick also added 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Sophomore forward Kennedi Wight of Ozarks averaged 13.3 points and 8.0 rebounds while hitting 48 percent from the field to push the Eagles to a 3-0 record. Wight opened the week with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and then followed up with a 13-point effort with nine rebounds. Wight ended the week with a 13-point performance on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. Junior guard Macie Whitfield of St. Thomas averaged 11.0 points on 26.7 percent shooting and added 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 0.5 blocks per game in leading the Celts to a 1-1 record last week on the road, highlighted by a win at Schreiner. Senior guard Lauren Sansano of Texas Lutheran eclipsed 300 assists in her career last week, joining Tara Molina (2016-21) and Allison McDaniel (1991-95) as the only players to dish out over 300 assists in their career. Sansano is the only player in program history with over 1,000 points and 300 assists as she moved up to eighth on the Bulldogs' all-time scoring list on Sunday - passing Tracy Dempsey (1981-85) and Courtney Ard (2001-05).
