AUVIC WHITE OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a senior running back from Munford, Tenn., has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, November 1st. SCAC Football Release (Week 9)
White had a career-day offensively for the Warriors, scoring four touchdowns in a 64-10 win over Centenary. The senior rushed for three scores and also recorded a touchdown reception. White had 62 all-purpose yards to go along with his 24 points scored on the night.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior quarterback Grayson Johnson of Lyon recorded 235 yards through the air for three touchdowns and one interception going 20-for-32 in a 40-28 win against Austin College. Johnson also picked up 57 yards on the ground on 11 carries, one of which was for a 2pt conversion late in the 4th quarter. Sophomore wide receiver Lavonta Henry of Texas Lutheran contributed where it counted with a pair of touchdowns in the Bulldogs' 43-13 win against McMurry. Henry had a pair of receptions in the game for 64 yards with both coming as TDs with a long of 47 yards.
