OWEN VENNERHOLM OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a junior from Tulsa, Okla., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets conducted Saturday, January 24 through Saturday, January 31. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 12)
Vennerholm came close to a season-best in the 50 yard backstroke while winning the event with a time of 25.73. The junior also won the 100 backstroke (56.12), six seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Owen Seymour of Asbury had a great meet at the senior day dual against Centre. Seymour was a key member of both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays which both won. He split a 24.86 leading off the medley relay and a blistering 20.98 anchoring the freestyle relay, which won by over 5 seconds. Individually, the senior sprinted to a second place finish in the 100 free with a 47.71, his second fastest swim of the season.
