SARAHI JONES OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from Los Fresnos, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 17 through Sunday, November 23. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 3)

Jones continues to lead the TLU offense, finishing with her third double-double in five games this season with 20 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, and a block. The forward shot 9-of-15 from the floor and 2-of-2 from the free throw line for her first career 20-point game and first time going for 20 points and at least 15 rebounds in the Bulldogs (4-1) 21-point win.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Trinity Williams of Austin College had a big game to lead the 'Roos to their second straight win of the early season, knocking down 7-of-10 shots, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, to finish with a team-high 17 points in a win over Howard Payne. Williams added four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. First-year guard Nakaylyn Wells of Centenary scored a career-high 21 points to lead all scorers against Arlington Baptist in a non-conference contest on Tuesday at home. Wells played all 40 minutes and finished 9-of-17 from the floor and 3-of-3 at the FT line with six rebounds, four assists and a steal. First-year forward Rayna Welsch of Colorado College led the team with 14.7 points per game and five rebounds per game in lifting the Tigers to a 2-1 week. In a double-overtime thriller on Saturday against Pacific, the freshman scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed five boards. Junior forward Shanna Brown of Concordia was a solid force as she averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in a pair of games at the ETBU Thanksgiving Classic. Brown tallied 10 points, four rebounds, and a steal in the first game against Linfield. She then posted game-highs of 25 points and 11 boards with three assists added in the final contest at East Texas Baptist. Senior guard Kylie Weeks of LeTourneau averaged 15.0 points -- connecting on 41.7 percent from 3-point land -- with 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game in a pair of contests last week for the YellowJackets.  She had 14 points with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a loss at Millsaps and then had 16 points with four rebounds, three assists, four steals, and one block in a close loss at Belhaven. Senior guard Helana Chadwick of McMurry continued her torrid start to her year, averaging 24.5 points on 37.8 percent shooting in leading the War Hawks to wins over Howard Payne and Trinity last week. Chadwick also added 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Junior guard Abby Beene of Ozarks averaged 19.5 points last week, highlighted by 32 points on 13-for-23 shooting in a 107-76 win against Lyon. Beene also added 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Eagles. Sophomore guard Madelyn Kincaide of Schreiner score 17 points, dished out three assists and grabbed two rebounds in leading the Mountaineers to a 72-59 win at home against Sul Ross St. last Friday.
