Lasley a sophomore from Little Rock, Ark., and Leffingwell, a senior from Stillwater, Okla., swept through the No. 1 doubles spot versus Texas Lutheran and Concordia Texas over the weekend. The duo defeated TLU’s pairing 6-2 on Friday and won in a tiebreak over Concordia’s No. 1 doubles on Saturday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Chloe Tesser and senior Kylie Weeks of LeTourneau went 2-0 as the No. 1 tandem in a 2-0 week for the YellowJackets to clinch a spot in the SCAC Tournament. The duo took a 6-3 win over McMurry's Madi Gonzalez and Jenna Vincent before earning a 6-4 win over Schreiner's Mackenzie Griffin and Katherine Bergeron. Sophomore Caroline Lasley and senior Josie Leffingwell of Hendrix swept through the No. 1 doubles spot versus Texas Lutheran and Concordia Texas over the weekend. The duo defeated TLU's pairing 6-2 on Friday and won in a tiebreak over Concordia's No. 1 doubles on Saturday. Seniors Lucia Rodriguez and Ella Mullins of St. Thomas secured a win at the top doubles line against Schreiner, winning 6-1, to help the Celts secure the team victory and spot in the SCAC Tournament.
