ADILYNN HENRY OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a senior setter from Gunter, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, September 16th through Sunday, September 21st. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 4)
Henry totaled 48 assists over the Warriors' weekend sweep of Austin College and Dallas to begin league play, averaging 6.00 assists per set. Against Austin, she was three assists shy of a career-high in five sets with 30 while also recording 13 digs. She followed that up with 18 assists against Dallas, which tied a season-high for her for assists in a three-set match.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore setter Camden Goodman of Colorado College had 34 assists as the Tigers went 2-0 on the road to open SCAC play. She had 11 assists in a 3-0 win over TLU, then led the team with 23 assists and helped CC to a .306 hitting percentage in a 3-1 victory over Concordia (Tex.). She also collected 32 digs during the weekend, including a career-high 20 vs. Concordia (Tex.). First-year setter Emma Rosier of Concordia (Tex.) averaged 7.0 assists per set and led the Tornados with 62 assists in conference play. She stepped up in conference play and tallied her first 30+ assist performance of her career with 30 assists to go along with team-highs of 15 digs and five aces against St. Thomas (Tex.). In a four-set battle against Colorado College, Rosier collected a career-high 32 assists. First-year setter Hailee Perry of LeTourneau averaged 4.67 assists and 2.33 digs per set to help LeTourneau to a pair of sweeps on the week. She had 17 assists and three digs in a sweep of LaGrange. Perry then had 11 assists, 11 digs, two aces, and one kill in a 3-0 win over Belhaven. Junior setting Alexis Dolton of McMurry contributed 14 assists for the War Hawks to open SCAC play while adding seven digs. First-year setter Alyssa Carlisle of University of the Ozarks had 31 assists over three matches while helping the Eagles to the program's first conference win. Her best performance came against Dallas when she had 18 assists. She contributed 18 digs during the week. Sophomore setter Gaby Torres of Schreiner helped the Mountaineers begin SCAC play with a 3-0 win over McMurry with 14 assists and added eight digs. Senior setter Mia Medina of St. Thomas (Tex.) totaled 33 assists in a 2-0 weekend for the Celts to open SCAC play, averaging 4.13 assists per set. The Celts earned wins over Concordia (Tex.) and Texas Lutheran as Medina added 19 digs and three service aces. First-year setter Addison Gallegos of Texas Lutheran posted 36 assists to open conference action, averaging 5.14 assists per set. She totaled 22 digs against St. Thomas (Tex.) while adding 13 digs over the weekend.
