Jones recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 18 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, an assist, and a block in the Bulldogs lone matchup of the weekend against LeTourneau. Jones shot an impressive 63.6 percent from the field, including a perfect 1.000 percent from the free throw line.
Senior guard Amiyah Barrow of Centenary had a superb week for the Ladies in a pair of home games against Howard Payne and Concordia, averaging 16.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds/game, and shot 56.5 percent from the floor and a sizzling 62.5 percent from beyond the arc. She led all scorers with a season-high 20 points as the Ladies edged Concordia 63-62 on Friday, playing 34 minutes and finished 8-of-10 from the floor, 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-2 at the FT line. Barrow added three assists, three rebounds, and one assist. Senior guard Kayla Mackel of Colorado College scored a career-high 30 points on Friday in a dominant win over McMurry. She led the Tigers to a 2-0 weekend and averaged 18 points per game. She made a season-high five three-pointers and shot 40 percent from long range in the winning effort. Junior forward Brooklyn Rowe of Hendrix averaged 10 points per game in the Warriors' mid-week split versus Austin College and Dallas. Against the Crusaders, the junior went 6-of-11 from the field to finish with 14 points, which was her second-highest total of the season and four points off of a career-high. Sophomore guard Lila Hartness of Ozarks hit all three of her three-point attempts to score 15 points against Austin College. Hartness also pulled down nine rebounds while going 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Junior forward Jaydia Morris of St. Thomas led the Celts to a win over Schreiner last Friday, scoring 13 points on 50 percent shooting, grabbed six rebounds, grabbed two steals and dished out one assist. It marked the second time in the last three games Morris has reached double figures in scoring and the sixth time this season.
