ADILYNN HENRY OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a senior setter from Gunter, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 7th. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 2)
Henry posted 82 assists over three matches for the Warriors with 22 or more in each match. The senior averaged 6.31 assists per set with a double-double in each of the Warriors’ three wins adding 41 digs too, helping Hendrix remain undefeated. Her 20 digs against Rhodes marked a career high as she had 27 assists and 20 digs in a 3-1 win.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore setter Camden Goodman of Colorado College totaled 71 assists over three matches as the Tigers went 3-0. Goodman averaged 6.45 assists per set with 21 or more assists in each match and added 17 digs. First-year setter Emma Rosier of Concordia (Tex.) led the Tornados posting 61 assists over four matches to average 4.36 per set. She also contributed 32 digs as she had a pair of double-doubles and added eight aces. First-year setter Emily Mullin of LeTourneau averaged 4.55 assists per set posting 50 over three matches for the YellowJackets. Mullin had a season-high 22 assists along with 12 digs in a four-set win over Covenant. First-year Alyssa Carlisle of University of the Ozarks started strong with 73 assists over four matches to average 4.56 per set. Carlisle helped the Eagles to their first victory in their inaugural match with 26 assists and had 26 or more in two of the four matches. Senior setter Mia Medina of University of St. Thomas (Tex.) led the Celts’ in a 4-0 weekend with 73 assists averaging 4.87 per set. Medina also added 26 digs as she helped UST remain undefeated. First-year setter Naomi Gamboa of Texas Lutheran totaled 54 assists over three matches for the Bulldogs this past week. Gamboa averaged 6.00 assists per set while adding 19 digs including 11 against #16 Illinois Wesleyan.
