CAMDEN GOODMAN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore setter from Park City, Utah, has been named SCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, October 21st through Sunday, October 26th. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 9)
Goodman had a major impact in the Tigers' 3-0 weekend with three sweeps as she posted 102 assists to average 11.33 per set. Goodman totaled 46 in a sweep of LeTourneau to average 15.33 per set in that match and added 29 digs over the weekend. Her 46 assists in a three-set match sits just outside the top-10 all-time in the SCAC record book. This marks her second weekly award of the season.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Senior setter Madison Manning of Austin College averaged 5.25 assists per set with 63 total assists as the 'Roos went 3-0 in SCAC action. Manning had a high of 26 in a five-set win over Schreiner, and added four service aces, six kills, and 23 digs in 12 sets played. Senior setter Adilynn Henry of Hendrix posted 80 assists across the Warriors' three weekend matches including 31 assists in a 3-1 win over Texas Lutheran. Across the weekend, she averaged 6.67 assists per set. Senior setter Carli Colbert of McMurry contributed 58 assists across three matches for the War Hawks in a 3-0 weekend. Colbert averaged 4.83 assists per set with a weekend-high of 27 in a five-set win over LeTourneau. Sophomore setter Jillian Childs of Ozarks (Ark.) recorded 19 assists over three matches with 11 coming against McMurry. Childs also added 18 digs. Junior setter Harlie Gallaspy of Schreiner posted 70 assists over four matches including 64 in conference play for an average of 5.33 assists per set. She totaled 32 assists in a five-set win over Hendrix and added 28 digs over the week. Senior setter Mia Medina of St. Thomas (Tex.) posted 69 assists across four matches including a 3-0 weekend in SCAC play. Medina averaged 6.56 assists per set in league action with 16 or more assists in each contest and a high of 23 against Centenary. First-year setter Addison Gallegos of Texas Lutheran totaled 41 assists for the Bulldogs with a high of 20 against Hendrix. Gallegos averaged 4.56 assists per set and added 23 digs.
