Sophomore Jay Scott of Centenary continued the impressive start to his season as he recorded a pair of top-10 finishes for the Gents on Saturday in the Belhaven Invitational. He finished sixth in the triple jump (12.52m) and 10th in the long jump (6.45m) and was also a member of the Gents' 4 x 100 meter relay team that finished third (40.45). First-year Johnny Plair of Concordia (Tex.) turned in one of the top throws in program history in the discus (42.25m), recording the second-best mark all-time for CTX. He placed fourth overall in a competitive field. First-year Erik Lindgren of LeTourneau finished eighth in the javelin throw with a personal-record distance of 53.39 meters (175'2) and was 23rd in the discus with a personal-best 36.03 meters (118'2) at the TCU Alumni Invite. Lindgren's mark in the javelin put him second in program history. First-year Cam Grimaldo of St. Thomas (Tex.) won the high jump at the Texas Lutheran Invite. He cleared a conference leading mark of 2.00 meters and is tied for the seventh best jump across Division III. Junior Parker Cabra of Texas Lutheran was second at the TLU Invite in the high jump with 2.00 meters (6'6.75) which is tied for the seventh-best mark in Division III and he was second in the 110 hurdles with his time of 14.78 which is currently sixth in the nation.
