CAMDEN GOODMAN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore setter from Park City, Utah, has been named SCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played from Friday, August 29th through Monday, September 1st. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 1)
Goodman was key for Colorado College in a pair of victories including posting a career-high 49 assists against Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The sophomore leads the SCAC in total assists with 91 and averaged 6.50 assists per set. She posted double-digit assists in each of the four contests for the Tigers and tacked on 18 digs against Wisconsin-Stevens Point as well.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore setter Katie Riemer of Austin College was impressive in her ‘Roos debut finishing with a team-best 5.5 assists-per-set, with 77 total assists in the 4-0 weekend. She also added nine service aces and 21 total digs in the four victories. First-year setter Lillian Mycke of Centenary collected a team-best 36 assists in the Ladies’ season-opening win over Wiley. First-year setter Emma Rosier of Concordia racked up 86 assists over four matches, averaging 6.14 assists per set as the Tornados went 4-0 at the Austin College Classic. Rosier led the Tornados in all four matches with over 20 assists in each match. Junior setter Syraia Harvey of Dallas posted 37 assists while also adding 28 digs for the Crusaders. First-year setter Hailee Perry of LeTourneau averaged 4.25 assists per set over the weekend, amassing 51 assists over three matches. She also contributed 24 digs as the YellowJackets went 2-1. Senior setter Mia Medina of St. Thomas (Tex.) had 90 total assists in last weekend's matches as the Celts opened the year 4-0. Medina added 39 digs and sits second in the SCAC in total assists. First-year setter Naomi Gamboa of Texas Lutheran recorded a pair of double-doubles in a 2-1 weekend with 39 total assists. She also added 26 digs.
