ALISON MUELLER-HICKLER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets conducted from Thursday, September 25 through Saturday, September 27. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 5)
Mueller-Hickler led the Colorado College to its second straight team win at the Ted Castaneda Classic with her second consecutive collegiate individual title Saturday morning at North Monument Valley Park. Mueller-Hickler led a first through fifth finish for the Tigers with a time of 22:05.40.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Alejandra Ramon of St. Thomas (Tex.) led the Celts to a third-place team finish at the Prairie View A&M/Clifton Gilliard Cross Country Invite last Thursday with a top five individual finish. Ramon crossed the line of the 6K course in 19:30.64 to finish fifth. Junior Mackenzie Combs of Texas Lutheran once again paced the Bulldogs, finishing as the top Div. III runner in field of competitors across all divisions at the Hill College Cross Country Invite. Combs finished fourth out of 91 competitors, crossing the line of the 5K course in 19:28.91.
