LIVI WOOLERY OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a first-year from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Friday, October 17 & Saturday, October 18. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 2)
Woolery earned four first place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (Back leadoff 27.65), 400 Medley relay (Back leadoff 1:00.75), & 200 Free Relay (25.09) while individually, she earned a first place finish in the 100 back (1:00.62). She also placed second with a lifetime-best time in the 100 Fly (1:00.47) and posted a third place finish in the 50 Free (24.98). Her performances led the team to a 2-0 start against Grinnell and Augustana in her collegiate debut.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Reece Esser of Centenary had a stellar start to her season over the weekend in a pair of conference dual meets against McMurry on the road as she recorded five individual wins and was a member of a pair of winning relay teams in the 200 free relay and 400 medley relay. Esser recorded wins in the 50 fly (28.24), 100 fly (1:03.82), 50 back (30.29), and twice in the 50 free - 25.86 and 24.46. Her 24.46 marked a career personal best and the third-fastest time in program history in the event. Junior Natalie Liles of McMurry won a pair of events over the weekend against Centenary taking first in the 500 Free and 200 Freestyle events for the War Hawks. First-year Alison Vision of University of St. Thomas (Tex.) continued to shine at the home meet, showing impressive speed with a 27.01 freestyle leg in the 200 Medley Relay and a strong 59.47 anchor split in the 400 Free Relay.
