JESSIE WRIGHT OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS (ARK.), a senior from Decatur, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the period spanning Saturday, September 20 to Saturday, October 11. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 1)
Wright won a pair of races to help the Eagles win the Austin College Dual on Saturday. Wright swam a personal best 2:02.21 to win the 200 free. Wright also posted a personal best in the 50 free leading off in the 200 free relay. Wright won the 100 fly with a time of 1:03.99.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Kelsy Elgar of St. Thomas (Tex.) delivered a standout performance at the Southwestern Invite, clocking a strong time in the 100 Back and powering through key relay legs to boost the Celts' overall effort.
