WACO, Texas - Top-seeded Trinity University advanced to the program's 13th straight finals appearance at the Southern College Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship with a 4-0 semifinal round victory over the fourth-seeded Concordia (Texas) Tornados on Saturday. The Tigers went up 1-0 in doubles play after Ellie Hughes and Lauren Tin earned a 6-0 win at third doubles before Olivia Kim and Ruth Hill tallied a 6-0 win at second doubles to claim the match's first point.
Lauren Tin took home a win in at sixth singles with a 6-1, 6-1 decision. Ellie Hughes was victorious at third singles after tallying a 6-0, 6-1 win. The clinching match came at No. 5 singles as Rosabella Andrade earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
The Tigers improve to 19-4 on the season. Meanwhile, the Tornados fall to 9-6 on the season.
