AARON SAN MIGUEL OF CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY (TEX.), a sophomore guard from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Tuesday, November 18 through Sunday, November 23. SCAC Men's Basketball Release (Week 3)
San Miguel helped lead the Tornados to victory with a game-high five steals in a 107-96 win over #20 Hardin-Simmons on Monday. The guard provided intense defense in the Tornados' full court press as Concordia forced the Cowboys into 24 total turnovers.

First-year Kane Broussard of Centenary had a big game against Arlington Baptist posting 10 defensive rebounds (13 total) for an impressive double-double with a season-high 17 points. He added three steals, two assists, and a pair of blocked shots. Junior Christian Drummond of Colorado College led the Tigers with five steals in two games in Virginia. The Colorado Springs native had a season-high four steals on Saturday against Mary Baldwin, and scored 21 points over the weekend. Senior Teigan Edwards of LeTourneau averaged 2.0 steals and 5.0 rebounds (4.0 defensive rebounds) per game to go with 14.5 points and 1.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week for LeTourneau. He had one steal with five rebounds (three defensive) in an 84-69 win over Oglethorpe. Edwards then had three steals with five rebounds (all defensive) to go with two assists and 24 points in a loss to Centre. Junior Cedrick Dodd of McMurry totaled four rebounds and three steals in a 100-98 win over Howard Payne. Offensively, he also contributed 13 points for the War Hawks. Senior Mason Wallace of Texas Lutheran posted 12 rebounds, all defensive, over a pair of wins for the Bulldogs, including 10 rebounds in an 84-77 win over Southwestern. Wallace also added a pair of steals and six assists.
