CALVIN MASON OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a junior from New London, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 13 through Sunday, April 19. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 8
Mason set a program record -- and the top mark in the SCAC this season -- in the hammer with a distance of 50.59 meters (166’0) to finish second at the Dan Veach Invitational. He also placed fourth in the discus at 43.01 meters (141’1) and was second in the shot put at 15.84 meters (51’11.75).
