KINSEY FULKS OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a first-year goalkeeper from Frisco, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Tuesday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 7th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 2)

Fulks posted a pair of shutouts last week in net for the YellowJackets, corralling four saves in a 0-0 draw against Belhaven and then posting two saves in a 3-0 win over Millsaps. Fulks is currently tied for first in the SCAC with a 0.00 goals against average and tied for fifth in the league with eight total saves on the year. The YellowJackets and Fulks have opened the season with three-straight shutouts for the first time since 2018 and are currently riding the longest shutout streak since 2023 when LeTourneau posted five consecutive clean sheets.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Junior midfielder Caitlin Roach of Texas Lutheran anchored the Bulldog defensive effort in a 3-1 win on the road last Saturday against Howard Payne. Roach and the Bulldogs limited Howard Payne to just four shots on target and two corner kicks. Roach’s efforts have helped TLU secure a perfect 2-0 start for the first time since the 2019 season.
