CLAYTON HOLT OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a senior right-hander from Dobbin, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, April 13 through Sunday, April 19. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 11
Holt tossed a complete-game, shutout in a 6-0 victory over Hendrix in the series opener. Holt struck out nine and walked just two while scattering three hits for his first career nine-inning complete-game shutout.

Sophomore Ray Busch of Centenary turned in the best performance of his young career on Friday in game two of a DH at home against St. Thomas (Tex.) as he worked a career-high five innings in relief and allowed just one earned run and five hits with no walks and one strikeout. Senior Rowdy Hoadley of Concordia (Tex.) delivered a dominant performance on the mound, leading the Tornados to an 11-1 victory over Texas Lutheran in the series finale. Hoadley tossed a complete game, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out five and walking only one. Senior Hunter Poe of McMurry picked up a win over Schriner, tossing eight innings, allowing just two unearned runs, scattering just two hits and striking out eight. Senior right-hander Jake Dempsey of Ozarks spun a complete game to push the Eagles to a 6-2 win on Saturday in game two against Dallas. Dempsey was sharp throughout, going the distance while allowing two runs on eight hits and striking out seven. He kept Dallas from stringing together big innings as he retired the side in the fifth inning and limited base runners throughout his outing. Sophomore Michael Martinez of St. Thomas (Tex.) delivered a complete-game effort on the mound, going 9.0 innings to secure the win while allowing just three runs on seven hits. He struck out seven without issuing a walk, finishing with a 3.00 ERA and a strong .200 batting average against in a composed and efficient outing. Senior Triston McGowan of Texas Lutheran struck out a season-high five batters across eight innings of work in a win over Concordia (Tex.). McGowan surrendered a pair of runs on 11 hits with just one walk.
