Dempsey tossed a four-hit complete game in game one of the Eagles' series against McMurry. Dempsey's winning day included only one walk and no earned runs as he struck out two and allowed just four hits.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Jaxson Frazier of Concordia (Tex.) dominated in a game three win where the Tornados defeated LeTourneau 10-0. The newcomer only allowed one hit and three walks while striking out four batters in 6.1 innings of action. Sophomore Blake Goodridge of LeTourneau tossed a seven-inning, complete-game shutout of Concordia (Tex.) in a 10-0 game-two victory that clinched the series win for the YellowJackets. The left-hander scattered just five hits and struck out seven while surrendering one walk across his season-high seven innings of work. Junior Cole Prasse of McMurry picked up the save in a 15-3 win over Ozarks (Ark.) pitching the final 3.0 innings for the War Hawks. Prasse allowed only one hit, one walk and struck out six of the 11 batters he faced without allowing a run. Sophomore Armando Rocha of St. Thomas (Tex.) earned a win against Dallas in a 10-0 victory in game two of the series. Rocha went 7.0 innings allowing five hits and struck out a season-high seven batters without surrendering a walk. Senior Parker Schutte of Texas Lutheran picked up the win over No. 1 Trinity on Tuesday, tossing two shutout innings in relief before throwing 8.1 innings in relief on Friday in the Bulldogs' loss to Austin College.
