LIAM MOSLEY OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore from Highlands Ranch, Colo., has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Tuesday, March 24 through Sunday, March 29. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 8

Mosley turned in a dominant, complete-game shutout, tossing 9.0 innings while allowing just three hits and holding opponents to just a .103 batting average. With a 0.00 ERA and five strikeouts, he controlled the game from start to finish and delivered one of the most commanding performances of the week. This marked his second complete game of the season and first outing of the year without allowing an earned run. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Jacob Broussard of Centenary recorded his first-career complete game in Saturday's 18-2 run-rule win over Austin College as he threw a season and career-high seven innings and allowed just two earned runs and three hits. Broussard walked two and struck out six of the 28 batters he faced and threw 93 pitches with 62 for strikes. Junior Dylan Kalmus of Hendrix spun 5.0 innings of one-run ball in Hendrix's series opener versus Concordia (Tex.). The junior scattered five hits across his outing while punching out six batters. Senior Will Podsednik of LeTourneau threw two shutout innings out of the bullpen and helped the YellowJackets earn a 4-2 comeback win over Linfield in his only appearance of the week. The right-hander allowed just two baserunners and preserved a one-run game before LeTourneau came back in the final inning and he was credited with the win. Junior Brayden Durst of McMurry earned a win in the War Hawks' 17-1 victory over Dallas going six innings allowing one earned run on five hits. Durst struck out nine of the 24 batters he faced. Senior Jake Dempsey of Ozarks (Ark.) threw his second complete game of the season to pick up the shutout win against St. Thomas on Friday. Dempsey scattered eight hits over 9.0 innings with seven strikeouts. Sophomore Michael Martinez of St. Thomas (Tex.) delivered a dominant outing on the mound for the Celts in a 3-1 victory over Ozarks (Ark.), tossing 7.0 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out nine. Martinez finished with a 0.00 ERA and held opponents to a .167 batting average. First-year Jack Grames of Texas Lutheran tossed six innings in a 14-1 win over Schreiner to help the Bulldogs secure the series. Grames allowed just one earned run on four hits and four walks.
