Richard Hinton, Centre College, Men's Soccer (Offensive)

RICHARD HINTON OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a junior striker from Fort Wayne, Ind., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 6 through Sunday, October 12.

Hinton had a brilliant performance for the Colonels over the weekend leading the team to a pair of victories with two goals and two assists.  On Friday night against Rhodes College, Hinton scored the game tying goal on a header flicked on to the back post in the 56th minute.  Then with 6 minutes left in the game, Hinton struck again, converting on a through ball to tally the game winning goal.  Hinton went on to have the assist on the 3rd and final goal. 

Then on Sunday against Hendrix College, Hinton notched the assist on the 2nd goal giving him 6 total points on the weekend.  For the season, Hinton has 6 goals and 5 assists for 17 total points.
