First Female President Takes Lead at Austin College on July 1 SHERMAN, Texas - The oldest college in Texas makes history next week as Austin College welcomes Marjorie Hass as the first female president in the colleges 160-year history. On July 1, Dr. Hass becomes the 15th president of the private liberal arts college located north of Dallas. |

Patrick Johnston Tapped to Lead Sewanee Women's Soccer SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Former All-American and All-ACC player Patrick Johnston has been named the next head coach for Sewanee's women's soccer program, according to Mark Webb, athletic director for Sewanee. Johnston has previous experience on the Mountain as the goalkeeper coach for the 2008 Tigers, who had a 10-win season. |

Jordan Casey is Sewanee's 27th NCAA Postgraduate Scholar SEWANEE, Tenn. - Recent Sewanee Graduate Jordan Casey (Charleston, S.C./James Island) has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, according to Teaera Strum of the NCAA. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. |
