CARLOS MICHINAUX OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior from Richmond, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week of the Week for games played from Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 15. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 6

Michinaux had an impressive weekend series against St. Thomas (Tex.), batting .600 with a .636 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage as the 'Roos took two of three games from the Celts. Michinaux hit safely in all three games, including a 3-for-4 performance with a homer in the series opening win totaling six hits and six RBI. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Noah Paulson of Centenary was red-hot for the Diamond Gents against LeTourneau at home over the weekend as he finished 5-10 at the plate (.500) with a .583 OBP and slugged 1.000. He had four RBI, two doubles, four runs scored, two BB, and only struck out once. In game two of Saturday's DH, he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, a two-run home run, two doubles, three runs scored, and a walk. First-year Louis Alonzo of Concordia (Tex.) led the Tornados offensively as the DH during the week, batting .450 (9-for-20) with seven RBIs, three doubles, and a triple across four games. The designated hitter recorded multiple hits in three contests, including a three-hit performance in Concordia’s 9-1 conference win over McMurry and another three-hit outing in the second game of the doubleheader. Sophomore Cody Brady of LeTourneau batted .455 (5-for-11) with a home run, three RBIs, three doubles, two runs, and an OPS of 1.538 in a series win at Centenary. He went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run and a walk in a game-one victory. He then went 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles, and two RBIs in a 5-3 win in game two to clinch the series. Sophomore Matthew McDonald of Ozarks (Ark.) hit .308 for the week with four total hits including going 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI in game two of the Eagles series against Texas Lutheran. McDonald finished the series with three extra-base hits. Junior Justin Ogle of St. Thomas (Tex.) led the Celts at the plate across three games, batting .545 with six hits in 11 at-bats. He added a home run, drove in three runs, and posted a .583 on-base percentage with a .818 slugging percentage. Ogle also remained perfect defensively with 19 total chances and a 1.000 fielding percentage while helping turn three double plays. Sophomore Caleb Small of Texas Lutheran hit .857 for the week in a series sweep against Ozarks (Ark.) going 6-for-7 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a walk. Small posted a 1.286 slugging percentage and a .818 OBP totaling nine bases over the weekend without a strikeout. The sophomore was 2-for-3 in the series opener and 3-for-3 in the finale posting a hit in all three games as well.
