KELLEN VICKERY OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a senior punter from Dripping Springs, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week for games played Saturday, October 4th. SCAC Football Release (Week 5)
Vickery only had to punt three times in a dominating 41-15 win over Centenary, but he made the most of it with an average of 47.0 yards-per-punt with a long of 69 yards. This is Vickery's second Special Teams Player of the Week honor this season after taking the award in Week 1.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior running back Obadiah Butler of Centenary returned six kicks for 136 yards, an average of 22.7 yards per return, with a long return of 45 yards on Saturday night in the Gents' 41-15 loss at Austin College. He also caught two passes for 11 yards.
