Three SCAC Student-Athletes Earn D3Baseball.com All-Region Selection

SUWANEE, Ga. -- The All-Region 10 (West) Region team was released by D3Baseball.com on Tuesday, and three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) athletes were recognized. Texas Lutheran's Adam Peavy and Caleb Small made the listing while McMurry was represented by Hunter Poe

Peavy, a senior first baseman and SCAC Player of the Year from Houston, Texas, earned second team All-Region honors after leading the league in batting average (.439) on-base percentage (.587), slugging percentage (.719) and finished inside the top five in several other categories. Peavy finished fourth in runs scored (47) and doubles (16), and fifth in hits (61). The senior was twice named SCAC Hitter-of-the-Week during the regular season, the only player to earn the honor twice in 2026, including a Week 3 performance (2/16-2/22) when he hit .500 (6-for-12) with five extra base hits, including two home runs in Game Two, in a three-game sweep of St. Thomas. Playing in his hometown, Peavy drove in eight runs and scored six more as the Bulldogs improved to 5-1 in league play and took the early lead in the conference standings. He became the fifth TLU player to earn SCAC Player-of-the-Year honors and this marks his second D3baseball.com All-Region honor (All-West Region Third Team - 2024).

Poe, a senior right-hander from Midland, Texas and the SCAC Pitcher of the Year, joined Peavy on the second team after starting 13 contests and leading the league with 77 strikeouts. He finished top-five in several categories including innings pitched (third - 77.2 IP), WHIP (third - 1.18) and ERA (fourth - 3.48). Over his 77.2 innings, the senior allowed 76 hits and 30 earned runs while walking just 16 batters in 2026. Poe picked up his second career SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week honor in Week 4 when he tossed a complete game, five-hitter in a 2-1 victory against St. Thomas. The senior charted a career-high 13 strikeouts in the win.

Small, a sophomore from Round Rock, Texas and a first team All-SCAC selection this season, earned his first All-Region honors taking a spot on the third team. In his first full season as a starter, Small finished second in the league in runs scored with 51 and led the Bulldogs. The sophomore tied for a league-leading six triples to go along with six home runs. He was an everyday starter for the Bulldogs posting a .385 batting average and a .678 slugging percentage, second in the league only to teammate Adam Peavy
