Christalyn Dorsey, University of St. Thomas (Tex.), Women's Track Athlete of the Week (Week 6)

CHRISTALYN DORSEY OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS (TEX.), a first-year from Fort Worth, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 30 through Sunday, April 5. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 6

Dorsey had three top 10 finished at the J.G. Gonzalez Memorial Invite. She ran second leg of the 4x100m that ran a conference-leading mark of 46.90, breaking their school record and ranking them fourth in the nation. She ran a personal best of 12.20 to win the 100m dash and move to the second-fastest time in the SCAC. Finally, she ended the night with seventh place finish in the 200m running a personal best of 25.84.
 
Dorsey shares Track Athlete of the Week honors with Colorado College's Allison Barker and Texas Lutheran's Mackenzie Combs.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Grayson Shugart of Centenary ran a personal-best time of 1:03.09 in the 400 meters on Friday to finish 20th in the Carl Knight Lumberjack Invitational, hosted by Stephen F. Austin University, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Senior Alayna Galloway of LeTourneau set a personal record in the 1500-meter event with her time of 5:08.03 at the Carl Kight Invitational.
