JAKE BLICE OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a sophomore quarterback from Mustang, Okla., has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, November 15th. SCAC Football Release (Week 11)
Blice had a career-day while leading Hendrix to a 55-28 win over its in-state rival Lyon College at the SCAC Championship Weekend Saturday at War Memorial Stadium. The sophomore tossed a career-high five touchdowns and accounted for 310 yards of total offense. Blice finished 22-of-34 for 269 yards passing and added 41 yards on the ground.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore receiver Jermiah Johnson of Austin College wrapped up the 2025 season in a big way, leading all receivers in the 'Roos' 16-14 win over Centenary with 85 yards and a touchdown on five catches. That included a long reception of 34 yards, which Johnson took into the endzone for a score. Senior running back Obadiah Butler of Centenary rushed 17 times for a game-high 138 yards and two touchdowns in a 16-14 loss to Austin College in the opening game of the inaugural SCAC Football Championship on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium. Butler caught two passes for 16 yards and returned three kicks for 72 yards as he finished with 226 total yards. He finished the regular season second in the conference in rushing yards/game and was fourth nationally in all-purpose yards entering Saturday as he averaged 183 yards/game. Junior quarterback Grayson Johnson of Lyon completed 23 of 43 passes for 254 yards and three TDs as the Scots dropped a 55-28 decision to Hendrix in the third-place game championship weekend in Little Rock. His 254 passing yards were his second-most of the season. First-year quarterback Dylan Plake of McMurry completed 17 of 36 passes for 234 yards and and one touchdown to lead the War Hawks to the SCAC title with a 27-19 come-from-behind victdory over Texas Lutheran.
