INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- In a list released last week, seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) women’s track and field athletes were selected to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships to be held on May 21-23 at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin. McMurry University will be represented by three athletes, followed by Colorado College with two. Hendrix College and University of St. Thomas are sending one student-athlete each to the championships to represent the SCAC.

For each individual event contested, including the decathlon and heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.

This year marks the most SCAC student-athletes to compete at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships since 2019 when the league also sent seven individuals to vie for a national title.

For the War Hawks, Brenna Stell is the top qualifier in the nation in the pole vault. Stell, a junior who finished 17th at last year’s national championship, comes into the 2026 Championships with the top mark in the country, clearing 4.11m.

McMurry’s Kendra Humphries was the lone individual to qualify for two different events going into the weekend. Humphries best event is the javelin throw, where she qualified ninth with a toss of 43.73m. She will also compete in the shot put, having qualified tied for 12th with a throw of 13.78m.

McMurry’s Tori Colman, the SCAC Female Athlete of the Meet, after winning the hammer throw and finishing runner up in both the discus and the shot put, is the final individual War Hawk to qualify for the national stage. The senior qualified 13th in the discus throw with a toss of 45.73m.

Rounding out the SCAC qualifiers in field events for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships is Hendrix’s Brownwyn Adams. Adams, the SCAC Champion in the discus throw at last month’s championship meet, qualified 21st in the event with her conference winning toss of 45.00m.

On the track, Alison Mueller-Hickler qualified 10th in the 10,000-meters with a time of 35.11.76. The senior earned Honorable Mention All-American honors last year in the event as a junior, finishing 10th with a time of 35:26.01.

In the 1,500-meters, Colorado College’s Allison Barker is a first-time qualifier and will make her NCAA Outdoor Championship debut. Barker qualified 20th in the 1,500-meter with a season best time of 4:29.53.

University of St. Thomas’ Quadetra Wilburn made program history this year, becoming the first Celt to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Wilburn, a sophomore from Cyress, Texas, qualified 18th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.83.
