SUWANEE, Ga. - With a conference title in men's
basketball and a second-place finish in women's swimming, Centre
College held on to its lead for the 2008-09 SCAC President's
Trophy following the completion of the winter sports
season.
The Colonels also had a third-place finish in men's swimming and
tied for third place in women's basketball in establishing a
15-point lead over second-place Trinity University (495 to 480
points), who jumped DePauw University (462.5 points) with a
first-place finish in women's swimming and a second-place finish in
both men's swimming and women's basketball.
