IRVING, Texas – University of Dallas named Alexis Emanuel as the next head women’s volleyball coach it was announced Tuesday by Director of Athletics Jarred Samples.
Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Emanuel was a dynamic six-rotation outside hitter during her collegiate playing career at Fisk University. She showcased her versatility by playing every position on the court for the Bulldogs. Her all-around skill and consistency earned her multiple all-tournament and all-conference honors throughout her collegiate career. Emanuel’s impact was felt in every match, making her a cornerstone of the team’s success.
Emanuel graduated from Fisk in 2018 with a degree in Sports Psychology. In addition to her time coaching at Fisk, she was also on staff as an admissions counselor for the university.
She has spent time coaching the Alliance Volleyball Club for eight years, Fisk for three seasons and Lane for three seasons, totaling six years at the collegiate volleyball level and two years at the high school level.
Emanuel most recently served as Head Coach of the Division II, Lane College Dragons, where she had a total of 48 wins and 31 of those in conference play.
