Southwestern's Neff Earns SCAC Women's Track & Field Elite 19 Award

SEGUIN, Texas -- In a announcement made at Sunday’s conference championship, Southwestern University's Arden Neff was named the 2025 SCAC Women’s Track and Field Elite 19 award winner.

Neff, a senior from Lake Jackson, Texas, currently holds a 3.987 GPA in Computational Mathematics with a minor in Philosophy. At this weekend's SCAC Championship, she earned all-SCAC honors by winning the 400 meter hurdles, the fourth consecutive year she has won the event at the conference championship meet. Neff is just the second woman in conference history to accomplish that feat.

Neff is the first Southwestern student-athlete to win the Elite 19 award for Women's Track & Field, but her selection represents the 30th time a Southwestern student-athlete has won the Elite 19 honor - the second-highest number of recipients for any one conference school trailing only the 34 honorees from Colorado College.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each conference sponsored-sport as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First, Second or Third Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
