IAIN GRIGGS OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior from Madison, Ala., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Co-Golfer of the Week for competition played from Monday, Ocotber 6 through Tuesday, October 7. SCAC Golf Release (Week 4)
Griggs secured his second top-three individual finish in the last month, tying for third at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational. He carded a three-round total of 211 (-2) after posting round of 71 (E), 73 (+2) and 67 (-4). His final round of 67 was tied for the best final round in the entire field. Griggs was superb on the par 4s, finishing the tournament 6-under par for a tournament leading 3.82 s par 4 scoring average. He finished the event tied for third with LeTourneau’s Corbin King, the top two SCAC finishers in the field.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Antonio Ramirez of St. Thomas led the way for the Celts at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational, finishing in a tie for 14th with a three-round total of 218 (+5). Ramirez’s best round came in the second when he fired a 1-under 70, highlighted by three birdies. Sophomore Tucker McDonald of Texas Lutheran finished 32nd to pace the Bulldogs at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational. McDonald finished with a three-round total of 232 (+19), highlighted by a final round score of 76.
