Podskarbi was outstanding on the defensive glass last week in a pair of games for Dallas, highlighted by a 75-72 win over Lyon. She grabbed an impressive 16.5 rebounds per game, including 12.5 per contest on the defensive glass. Additionally, Podskarbi averaged two steals and one block per game on the defensive side of the ball.
Junior guard Avory Miller of Austin College lifted the ‘Roos to their first win of the season and first win of the Oliva Hunt era, with an 82-62 victory over Lyon. Defensively, Miler recorded five steals and grabbed eight rebounds, including five defensive boards, as the 'Roos hounded the Scots into 38 turnovers in the game. Senior guard Andie Will of Colorado College returned to the court after missing last season due to injury, leading the Tigers with four steals, seven rebounds and a block in a 1-1 week for CC. She posted a season-high seven rebounds and two steals in an upset win over Calvin. Senior guard Kylie Weeks of LeTourneau averaged 4.5 steals and 3.5 rebounds to go with 17.0 points per game in a 1-1 week for the YellowJackets, highlighted by six steals in a win over College of Biblical Studies.
